Chloé Sainte-Marie presents Plain Song Song of a Plain Man, the second single of her book-disc Maudit Silence, to be released on October 5, 2022, jointly by Audiogram and Éditions de l'Hexagone.
After Tchee-Kee-Dee Dee-Dee-Dee, the first Canadian Creole song written by Jean Morisset and unveiled last April, Plain Song Song of a Plain Man features the words of Nancy Huston; an unpublished text inspired by her novel Cantique des plaines and carried in French and English by the voice of Chloé Sainte-Marie. Yves Desrosiers' sensitive and rich musical composition penetrates this story through the expanses of the author's native prairies, lulling the horizon with its rhythms and fertilizing us from the roots up.
