Cité d’or is the story of the wild child wanting to discover his inner self. Music is his poetic framework traveling like a feline of the open spaces. Over a psychedelic rock base, Funk Lion, Quebecer of Haitian origin, composes his tale of his quest for Eldorado like a poetic manifesto of uprootedness. With his psychedelic rock infused with afro-futurism and voodoo-funk, the Funk Lion experience is like a laid-back psychedelic carnival. The opus Cité d’or was released under Kartel Musik on June 1st 2018 and the single “Mèsi” in June 2019. His new album "Enfants fauves" was released in April 2024.
